At the end of the second year at the Academy for Theater and Dance I made Happy Days by Beckett with the title: It will have been a happy day. My décor was a big table. Winnie her head came out and Willie his legs. The table was full of broken dishes: their marriage and memories.
This piece was about loneliness within a relationship. About how two people can live completely alone together, only talking about superficial things, but on the other hand can’t live without the other.
Winnie talking, the creaking dishes, techno music by Paul Kalkbrener and a twinkling light: elements that shaped this loneliness.
